Condition Assesssment Of Fire Damaged Building

M/s. Kwalichem Pvt. Ltd is a manufacturer of organic pigment having its industrial unit is located at Rabale MIDC, Navi Mumbai. A massive fire broke out in a company on 15^th April 2023 evening. The fire was there for 10 to 12 hours. The structure is severely affected due to fire.  The client wanted to understand the post-fire condition of these plant buildings. Hence, the Client approached M/s. Bureau Veritas (India) Pvt. Ltd. for the same. M/s. Bureau Veritas (India) Pvt. Ltd. JV with M/S Structedge Consultants carried out fieldwork of visual inspection and sample non-destructive testing during the period 15^th May 2023 to 25^th May 2023. The building under consideration is G+5, RCC framed conventional Cloumn-slab-beam arrangement structure. The building is constructed in 2016. The plan dimension of the building is 28m X 28m. The floor area of the building is 8455 Sqft & Total area of the building is 50615 Square feet. The roof on the 5^th floor is covered with MS steel trusses and cladded with Cement sheets. Two staircases & two material lifts are planned at north-east & south-west corner of the building to access the upper floors. Production equipment & Reactors are installed on each floor
