The Biju Patnaik University of Technology ( BPUT ), Orissa, with its head-quarters in Rourkela came into being in November 2002 through an act of the Government. The main objective of instituting the University was to ensure a high quality of students coming out of the technical colleges through a common curriculum and uniform evaluation. Today, the University has 137 colleges, both constituent and affiliated, with around 100,000 students. Hence as per the request from the VC  M/s Structedge Consultants has carried out a detailed structural audit for identification of distress of the building in the month of June 2025 and categorically distress level has been identified for preparation of maintenance schedule and to priorities the job. A Detailed repair methodology along with BOQ has been provided to the technical committee for the tendering and execution of the work.

In Gajapatinagar, Bhubaneswar A detailed Structural Audit and distress Investigation was Carried out on the month of July 2025 By M/S Structedge Consultants. This Residential building is consists of two basements. Due to the failure of the basement external waterproofing system, some portion was leaking. Due to this some parts of the structure was observed distress. Hence a detailed Distress analysis has been carried out along with rectification methodology. So that based on the report all the residential welfare society can take collective decision to execute the job.

AAYKAR BHAVAN is a Commercial building located at Maharshi Karve Road, Churchgate, Mumbai. The building is utilized for the operation of Income Tax services, which comes under office. The Central Public works department (CPWD) controls the maintenance part of the building. The users of the building is facing monsoon-related leakage & seepage from the terrace slab. Hence, CPWD officials want to consultancy for adequate restoration & waterproofing treatment for the terrace slab. Hence, work was awarded to M/S Structedge Consultants through Bureau Veritas to provide consultancy services for restoration & waterproofing treatment for terrace slab. In response to this, the our team on 24th & 25th March 2023 carried out an inspection. The structure under consideration is a commercial building having configuration of Basement + Ground + 6-storey RC framed structure. The structure is having conventional beam-slab system with infilled masonry walls. The area of the one floor is approximately 40,000 Square feet. The building has total of five staircases & five lifts for vertical access. The one floor is constructed above 6th floor at west the building. The use of this floor is as a “Guest House”. Various MS & HDPE tanks are installed on the RCC framed structure at Terrace. The existing terrace slab has an additional layer of concrete screed of 100mm above it. The mortar screed is laid above the concrete screed. Fiber mesh in patches has laid at few area of the terrace

The existing structure, Hemming Unit Building located at the premises of M/s Alok Industries Ltd. is a Ground plus two RCC structure. It is reported that the construction of the existing structure was completed in the year 1995, since then it has been in operation. Later, in the year 2009, new RC slab was constructed to utilize the blank floor plate area of first floor using RC column-beam-slab framing. At present, the concerned authorities, M/s Alok Industries Ltd. Desired to carry-out Structural Soundness Assessment of the structure in order to assess the presence and extent of deterioration/distress if any in the structure. Hence, a reference was made to M/s Structedge consultants by the concerned authorities to conduct Assessment for Soundness and distress in the structure and to suggest appropriate restoration measures for the distressed members. In response to this, a detailed field assessment study was carried out during the period 23rd January 2023 to 25th January 2023. This report in brief summarizes the outcome of the assessment study carried out and the recommended restoration measures thereon

The Existing building of Jaslok Hospital comprises of Ground + 20 Floors + Terrace. The building is more than 50 years old. At present, the concerned authorities of Jaslok Hospital Building wanted to check the part foundation of the building to verify the extent of distress by conducting Non-destructive tests, design and suggest bill of quantities for the repairs. In response to this, a detailed field Assessment work was carried out during 15th Mar 2023 to 16th Mar 2023. Visual Inspection of the RCC Foundation to identify distresses randomly and marking the same on as built drawings. All kind of NDT test conducted such as Rebound Hammer, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Testing, Carbonation, Half-Cell Potential, Core Compression, Chemical Analysis. Based on NDT and core test results, conducting analysis to check the current level of stability as per current loading conditions and applicable codal provision for seismic Stability. Verification of quantities in line with earlier BOQ as furnished by us and recommending of any addition based on restoration measures based on current level of stability required.

M/s. Kwalichem Pvt. Ltd is a manufacturer of organic pigment having its industrial unit is located at Rabale MIDC, Navi Mumbai. A massive fire broke out in a company on 15th April 2023 evening. The fire was there for 10 to 12 hours. The structure is severely affected due to fire.  The client wanted to understand the post-fire condition of these plant buildings. Hence, the Client approached M/s. Bureau Veritas (India) Pvt. Ltd. for the same. M/s. Bureau Veritas (India) Pvt. Ltd. JV with M/S Structedge Consultants carried out fieldwork of visual inspection and sample non-destructive testing during the period 15th May 2023 to 25th May 2023. The building under consideration is G+5, RCC framed conventional Cloumn-slab-beam arrangement structure. The building is constructed in 2016. The plan dimension of the building is 28m X 28m. The floor area of the building is 8455 Sqft & Total area of the building is 50615 Square feet. The roof on the 5th floor is covered with MS steel trusses and cladded with Cement sheets. Two staircases & two material lifts are planned at north-east & south-west corner of the building to access the upper floors. Production equipment & Reactors are installed on each floor
